Executive Summary
In a world with a lot of hype around gender equality, it is very strange that so many opportunities are awarded to a girl child while the boy child is left to the universe's mercy. The truth is that if the boy child is left out of the system, he becomes a perpetrator of the things they are protecting the girl child against. We see this daily in our community, where male perpetrators have some childhood trauma that they are pinning their behaviour on. The Gift Ya Lerato Mashala is a program created by Lerato Mashala, who has the best wishes in her heart for the community. It’s a program that focuses on the boy child and attempts to give him the same opportunity as the girl child.
